The Sea Lion Drum Corps

The Sea Lion Drum Corps of The Finnish Navy Band consists of six reservists of the Finnish Defence Forces. Their playing style has its roots in the east-coast drumming tradition of the United States. If tracked further back, the tradition reaches all the way to late-medieval Switzerland and Central/Western Europe. However, all the drum solos are written by the six members of the drum corps.

The drum corps was founded in 2020, so its own history is still quite young. It performs as a part of the Finnish Navy Band, most often accompanying the band in parades and tattoos.
