In addition to playing at the events of the Defence Forces, the band’s tasks include strong and innovative efforts to influence the music culture in the Lapland area, which reflects themes such as nature in Lapland, folk music of the native peoples and a variety of ethnic characteristics. The diverse and open-minded repertoire makes the Lapland Military Band a unique and active operator in the culturally rich and interactive environment.
